NEWS _______________________________________________Rye Field Hockey Club (New York) & GOA Ladies (Toronto) Lift 2009 Men’s and Women’s JFK Trophies. Rye FHC defeated Toronto Lions 2-1 in penalty strokes to win the 45th JFK International field hockey tournament held at the US National Training Center in Virginia Beach after the teams decided to not play the game in torrential downpour. Goa Ladies defeated the Red Rose in a tense final. Rye FHC and GOA Ladies will receive an automatic entry and their fees for 2010 are waived. While the tournament does not pay out cash prizes, the winners do receive trophies and their fees for the up coming tournament are waived. This year’s award recipients are:
